New removal petition merits consideration
Recently, Bishop Estate trustees have been under a hailstorm of criticism over several of their newest offenses.
This criticisms includes allegations of illegal campaign contributions, unfair labor practices, misappropriation of funds, and mismanagements on behalf of trustee Lokelani Lindsay.
This mismanagement affects not only Bishop Estate, but Kamehameha School as well. Trustees have misdirected an estimates $350 million intended for Kamehameha School into various questionable projects.
Bishop Estate's trustees spend more money on ensuring their gratuitous salaries than anything else. This defeats their established purpose of protecting the intent to Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop's will.
It seems pretty obvious that something is, indeed, drastically wrong. Why, then, does it seem so unlikely that equally drastic measures will be taken?
Rallies are being staged, actions are being investigated, and trustees are being questioned; the most opportune time is NOW. It's time we give the removal petition the serious consideration it deserves.
