Olympic decision right

The International Olympic Committee recently expelled six members after investigating reports of bribery.

Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sydney, Australia, were both accused of bribing Olympic officials in an attempt to bring the games to their respective cities.

They have decided, however, to keep the games at these locations.

The measure taken by the Olympic Committee are fair and reasonable. Their commitment to protecting the rectitude of the games is proven in their determination to rectify this scandal. it is commendable that they have taken such strong actions to eliminate bribery and scandal from the Olympic games.

The Olympic Games are symbolic of international peace and cooperation, expressed through friendly competition. The Olympic Committee has a great responsibility to protect the integrity of the Olympic Games and to preserve the good spirit and intention of the Games.

The Committee should be lauded for its quick decisiveness and willingness to back up its convictions with strong action.
