Tomorrow I leave Hawaii after 11 years (minus 2 years in Korea). I'm sad about that -- unlike the other times, this time it's permanent, as indicated by the 6 boxes I've sent to my parents' house.
I stopped by JAIMS this morning to say hi to the next class of CHEMBAs, and ended up talking to them for about 45 minutes, just answering questions. They're at the stage now where they're starting to think about which company they'd like to do their internships in, and I'm afraid I wasn't much help. Although I got to hear a few bad stories, I didn't really know enough to give advice.
The one thing I have left to do is leave my forwarding address for my mailbox. After that, it's "aloha" for the foreseeable future.
