While on the hike, we passed the school’s soccer field. Here’s why I think Korea will never be a top contender in world soccer, despite the interest generated from the 2002 World Cup:
I would imagine dirt fields make it a lot harder to learn skills like slide tackling, diving, and passing. I’m surprised that they’re still used at the university level.
Maybe that’s just the practice field, but even so, it’s typical of Korean schools.
