Mozart for fetuses

I saw this Baby Blues comic on August 27, and thought it was pretty funny.

Then my wife bought a CD of Mozart music for prenatal mothers, and in the words of Martin Lawrence, "the [censored] just got real."1

I've got nothing against Mozart or babies, but I remember the time a long way back when Mozart for Babies was just for babies. Now it's also good for fetuses? Fetuses that haven't yet developed ears?

I'm not sure how much this kind of thing has caught on in the U.S. also, but I think the Korean concept of "prenatal education" (태교, 胎敎) is going a bit to far.

What's next?
