We’ve been praying that everything goes OK with the pregnancy – you know, that the baby has 10 fingers and 10 toes. Well, this past week, SY had her most recent ultrasound, and one of the pictures showed an open left hand with five fingers on it.
I guess that’s a good sign.
The baby appears to be kind of big – 600 grams, or about a pound and a quarter. SY has gained a significant amount of weight, too: about 8 kilograms (just under 18 pounds). From what we’ve read, that’s pretty big for the end of the fifth month.
She’s also been getting cravings. This past weekend she wanted fried shrimp. Earlier, she wanted strawberries. The strawberries story is kind of interesting.
She had originally bought them for herself, but chose not to finish them all, leaving four for me. When I came home, though, she started to crave them again, so she said, “There are some strawberries left over. Let’s share. Two for you and two for me.”
Not knowing what they were left over from, I said, “Yeah, that’s fair. Sounds good.” She later told me the full story.
So there are two points of view on this. Hers is: He should consider himself lucky to have gotten any at all – I bought these for me.
And mine is: she ate more than half, then you said, ‘let’s split the rest fairly’? Hey, wait a second… I wasn’t upset, but it seemed funny to me.
Two different perspectives….
