My file server finally went down, permanently. [Source]
This sucks. Not only have I lost my stored files dating back to 2001, but I have to find a new service and reupload whatever bits I have left if I if I want to keep my blog relevant.
Then, after uploading the photos for all 802 posts (at the moment), I have to go through just about each post and redo the source coding for each linked picture. That sucks.
The good news is that -- now that I'm in OCS -- I'll have at least *some* free time in which to finish this *massive* project. And assuming I don't care about going out on the weekends, I suppose I can both get it done *and* save a bit of money.
Oh well, I suppose I'd better get started.

I'm with you. Bad business is bad business. Writing was on the wall once they moved from Steamload to Media Max. We (as a community) just loved the service and family we (or I) created with the users so much that we held onto hope well beyond what they deserved.
