This week I had one big hope that came true: a team with a losing record won the NFC West Division. The Seahawks beat the Rams, earning a playoff berth with a 7-9 record. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers and Giants, both with 10-6 records, are out.
The Bears lost to the Packers 10-3, the Lions beat the Favre-less Vikings, and the Cowboys beat the Eagles 14-13, so there was less to celebrate elsewhere, but the history-making Seahawks made my day.

And then today they beat the defending champions, the Saints. They got home field advantage against a wild card team with a better record, and they won.
Amazing.
