The Army stopped offering free Rosetta Stone via the Skillport website on September 24th. They let the licenses expire.
That's too bad. I was about 4 hours away from completing the third level of Japanese, and had I realized they were shutting down I would have finished it. The only thing that kept me from finishing earlier is the super slow Internet access that prevented me from doing the speaking exercises.
I also would have liked to do the one for Chinese. True, I could have/should have done it before, but I had no idea the Army was considering cutting the program. Now if I want to do it I'll have to dish out $500.
That's not likely.
