August 7: Big News Day

On the 26th, MILPER message 12-232 announced that the Army Competitive Category promotions to captain will come out at 7:30 EDT, August 7th.

However, the results will be "prepositioned" tomorrow, meaning that the results will be available to division-level leadership.

The reason? So that they can contact those who have not been selected for promotion and warn them beforehand.

So, now it's just a matter of *not* getting a phone call in the next week.
