My wife had pinned me when I made first lieutenant, so I had my son do it this time.It may sound strange, but I'm really glad it's over. After the ceremony, I served cake and drinks for the company; I was worried that there wouldn't be enough for everyone that could possibly show up, but it worked out all right.
Afterward, my company commander took me out for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings with the other officers.
It's been a very good week -- I got my CLC3 date, I spent a whole day playing golf, and I got pinned.
