To my surprise, one of the books that I happened to notice -- The Golem and the Jinni
(center, top row) -- was written by a high school friend of mine, Helen Wecker.
The fact that I came across this at random makes me wonder how many other high school contacts of mine have done famous-type things (like writing books or such) without me realizing it.
Even with this book, the only reason I picked it up was because I used to play Baldur's Gate 2, a game that game out years after we'd both gone on to college. Weird.

The Golem and the Jinni
Camp Humphreys was doing some kind of drill today that required us to evacuate our building, so I went over to the PX and browsed the new book section.
To my surprise, one of the books that I happened to notice -- The Golem and the Jinni
