Neighborhood garbage
We like our apartment. It's spacious, has a lawn, and we can receive Korean postal deliveries.
However, we don't really like our neighborhood. Our landlord owns the adjacent, vacant lot, but despite being "under construction" since we moved in, hasn't had any improvements. There's just a bunch of miscellaneous building materials laying around.
Plus, garbage is a huge issue.
A big part of the problem is that the area is under different landlords with no association with one another. To each owner, thing like security and garbage collection are external concerns.
I can't think of how to solve the garbage problem, except to put individual garbage collection points outside of everyone's house.
Either that, or start collecting the garbage more frequently. I suppose that would work, too.
