Bacon fat candle
I've always wondered if there was any use for the grease left over from cooking bacon. It turns out there is: you can make a candle out of it.
I went by the recipe I found with a Google search here
In addition to the fat from a few packs of bacon, you'll need at least one pint-sized mason jar, beeswax, a wick, and something to hold the wick in the center while things cool. Amazon has the beeswax, the wicks, and the centerizer thingy sold separately. With one pack of the beeswax, you can make two pint-sized mason jar candles.
Don't tell my brother, but that's what he's getting for his birthday. Now I just need to start eating more bacon....
