Not sure the Finns appreciate this...
Finland's not part of Scandinavia, despite the perceptions of both Koreans and Americans.
Though, yes, they are all small countries in northern Europe, Finnish is a distinctly different language. In fact, structurally it has more in common with Korean than it does with the Scandinavian languages.
Wikipedia's article seems to specifically address our misperception, describing Finland's inclusion with the other countries as "The abnormal use in English." [Source]
