Four years to break even
Kraton Performance Polymers (KRA) has been having a fantastic past three months. Since hitting 15.69 on March 23rd, the stock has almost doubled in value and hit a 52 week high.
This is great news for me, too, because I was able to lock in and sell my 20 shares for $28.50 per share.
It's just too bad I didn't made any money from the transaction.
When I bought those 20 shares back in early 2012, shortly after I'd returned from Afghanistan, I bought them for pretty much the exact same price. This is how their fortunes have gone over the past five years:
See that second bump from the left? That was February 2012. It's taken four years just to break even.

I'm commenting here because I found your blog after googling "CLC3 Army" and will be reading through your ALU/CLC3 posts with great interest. I'm sitting in Petersburg now getting ready to start CLC3 after a failed bid in the POQC; I was reminded of that adventure reading about your attempts at FAO. Good luck with everything and thanks for the resource, no matter how old. I'm sure it'll come in handy.
