Trip to El Paso

My unit is planning an exercise along with a unit in Fort Bliss, so I left on Sunday and arrived on Monday. The room is fine -- it has a bed, refrigerator, and a microwave, so it meets all me needs -- but the view from my window sums up my enthusiasm about being here.

Meanwhile, the rest of the family is having a grand ol' time. Here are the kids riding in a convertible for the first time on their way to a hike. I told them they need to look sadder because I'm not there.
