A beautiful building ... with a casino

Having grown up near Atlantic City, NJ, I've always associated casinos with a gaudy lack of class. Consequently, I thought it was strange that the nicest building in Wiesbaden would have a casino in it. But here's the thing -- it's always had a casino in it. Wiesbaden was the place where Germany's rich spent their leisure time -- soaking in hot spring water, treating their ailments, and frittering their money away. And it was here that Fyodor Dostoevski is said to have gambled his own fortune away. [Source] So while I think it's strange, I realize it's not my place to say it's out of place.
