*The Cathedral*

When I was -- I dunno -- a freshman in high school, I went to a French Club meeting where a junior named Blaine talked about his trip to Strasbourg.

I don't remember much, but I remember him talking about The Cathedral. And he said it like that, too. *The Cathedral*. If you ever got lost, you could always reorient yourself by finding *The Cathedral*.

That stayed with me. And now, 30+ years later, I understand why. This thing is a *landmark*. And it is *impressive*.
There's a Notre Dame in Paris, another one in Verdun, (don't forget South Bend, IN) and there's this one in Strasbourg.
