Pepero Day, 11-11

Pepero Day was yesterday. Because the date November 11 (or “11-11”) looks just like the little chocolate-coated sticks, kids give the 빼빼로 snacks to their friends. I gave a box to each of my students.

It’s not a bad holiday, though I think it’s become even more commercialized than before. Now it’s almost like Valentine’s Day.[picture]“Yeah, you don’t have to buy this until February, but what will your wife think?”

We don’t need that.
