New adult store must be closed down soon
With residents protesting the Inserection Adult Fantasy Store's lease on McCully Street, serious through ought to be given toward evicting the unpopular business even before its lease ends.
The owner of the property, Seven-Eleven Hawaii, Inc. said it thought the store would target more of a family audience, and is now looking for another site it can move to.
If only because neighborhood businesses and residents should get along, the store should be evicted now, regardless of any costs it may incur on either Seven_Eleven or the owners of the video store.
Washington Intermediate and Lunalilo Elementary Schools are within walking distance, and the nearby Territorial Savings Bank give the store more exposure than an adult store should have.
Councilman Andy Mirikitani succeeded in getting City Planning and Permitting Director Jan Sullivan to revoke the permit for Inserection's signs, yet in order to preserve the atmosphere of the community, closure of the store must happen soon.
