With the Mid-Autumn Festival this week, work in Shanghai has come to a stand-still. Many companies, including SY's school, are closed the entire week. So SY has off for a week, and I only have to go in to work on Thursday and Friday.
Saturday and Sunday we really didn't want to go traveling, but after two days of doing nothing, we really had to get out. With no idea what there even was to do, we decided to go to a bookstore to buy a Lonely Planet guide to Shanghai.
SY heard it was near this one subway stop, so we went there and started asking directions. We started feeling a bit strange, though, because everyone we talked to said it was "that way." After thirty minutes we stopped looking for the bookstore and started looking for something to eat, when lo and behold the we found the next subway station over. Right across from the exit was the bookstore we were looking for.
After buying the book we were looking for and a Shanghai photobook, we went home. That was it for Monday.
