On to Japan

We got to Tokyo in one piece, though hauling our luggage all over has not been pleasant. If I could pass along a piece of advice, it’s don’t go to Tokyo with more than one medium-sized suitcase. You can get on the coach busses with two, but getting from the coach bus stop to your final destination by train or subway will be nasty, and the taxis are expensive.

We would have stayed in the Fujitsu dormitories, but they don’t allow couples. It’s not too bad, though, because we’ll be staying with SuYoung’s friends, and that will save a bit of money. The only problem is that I have to navigate the Tokyo train/subway system with my rudimentary Japanese skills, and those are eight years-old as it is. I don’t look forward to that.
