SY and I visited some friends down in Busan this weekend, and we got back today. On Saturday they treated us to a nice crab dinner (대개). I think it’s really cool how the crab’s prepared – a lot of the hard work is done for you.
The staff will clean them out and cut them up, but they won’t throw away the guts. Instead, they’ll wait until you’re just about done, then mix them with rice and serve that in the shell. (I’m sorry the last picture is out of focus – apparently my camera-mp3 player-phone has its limitations.) Sounds nasty, I know, but it tastes really good.
On Sunday, we went for a walk around town, and went to the beach at Haeyundae (해운대). The weather was beautiful – it reminded me of Hawaii, but not quite as warm.
