During our Busan trip, the friends we stayed with had a kim chi refrigerator (김치냉장고). Of course, seeing one for the first time begs the question, “Why have a separate fridge?”
I think to fully appreciate this convenience, you have to smell the full effect of kim chi on a regular refrigerator. Then you'd see why it’s a good idea.
The two racks pull out, and you can store all the kim chi you want in there without upsetting the delicate aroma of your other produce. Only in Korea...
