In the morning we did MSE (muscular strength and endurance), with a focus on push-ups, sit-ups, and a mile run. I guess those two days of profile didn't really help as much as I'd hoped, as my legs are still sore, and my knees constantly hurt.
After breakfast, we transported out to the land navigation range, where we worked in groups of threes to find points on a map. My team found four points out of five, though we really only needed three to pass.
In the afternoon, we had classes on radio communications and medevac requests. It got pretty chilly in the classrooms since I sweated through my clothes walking around outside in the sun. After classes, we set up our tents for camping. I was sooooo tired... but we couldn't go to sleep until after we'd done our night navigation.
Night navigation was a mess. I was in a different team, and we couldn't find either of our two points in the time allotted. It was no big deal, since it was just required that we try, but I was still irritated.
We didn't get to sleep untill midnight, and still being soaked I didn't sleep all that well, but hey -- at least I didn't have to worry about doing fireguard duty.
