Did 60/120s for PT today. Two guys were apparently chatting and got DS B irritated. You can guess who ended up paying for that one later...
Went to the shooting range in a light rain, got smoked, and ate breakfast. Things went badly. I cound't see the targets that popped up. The second round I didn't even shoot 11 out of the 20 rounds in my magazine -- I just didn't see the targets. It makes me wonder how I'll do at qualifying...
For lunch, I had MRE #5 - Chicken Breast. It had carrot cake, spicy mac & cheese, French vanilla capuccino drink (which I can't stand), and peanut butter M&Ms. That was a winner.
Came back & ate dinner: salisbury steak, rice, greens, cornbread, salad, gatorade, milk. Surprisingly, I finished! My bunkmate, who was "team leader," got fired for having his weapon on semi rather than safe -- he was really bent out of shape about it. Our squad leader was fired, too, for not having his helmet on (he was fixing it at the moment). He's not so worked up about it, though -- he said it's just the DSs messing with him (I'm paraphrasing).
Another guy in the platoon messed up in the evening. Rather than keep his medications in the designated lock box (stored safely in the drill sergeant's office during the night so no one can overdose), he kept his in his locker. Bad move that got him an Article 15.
Had fireguard from 9 to 10 in "full battle rattle," topped by CQ shift from 1 to 2. Thumbs down, but hopefully I'll have some time to write SY during those times.
