Day 40 - Class A fun

We got to sleep in a little late today. We woke up at 0430 because we didn't know the schedule, but then DS B told us to go back to sleep till 0530. Fine with us! No PT? Better yet!

We left at 0600 and headed over to 30th AG (where we did reception) to pick up our Class A uniforms. We ate breakfast there, field style, and then (predictably) spent the morning standing in lines. Maybe that sounds over simplified, but it's not. That's exactly what we did.

We had lunch the same way we had breakfast -- field style, sitting down under a canopy -- but with an added bit of hilarity. Right as I found myself some real estate, the Alabama Portables vacu-truck pulled up and started sucking all the contents out of the porta-potties.

Not exactly potpourri, that stuff.

After lunch, I hiked back to the barracks with the first group of people and had about five hours free. I wrote to SY and put my stuff away. Others used their time to get in trouble using a cell phone.

Later we packed rucksacks and I entered BRM scores for DS A. Tomorrow we leave for Field Exercise #2 (FX2).
