Day 39 - Injustice!

Nice, easy Sunday, except for one thing.

I woke up, got breakfast, did my part to clean the bay until noon, then got to lunch and ate a lot, including my favorite part - the glass of chocolate milk to wash it all down. I went to church at 1300, like normal.

But then, on my way back, I saw my platoon at the PX drinking milkshakes. Because I was in a formation, I couldn't leave, and I didn't have permission to go across the street without a drill sergeant. So I waited with the weapons guards in the bay, confident that we would have our turn once they got back.

It didn't happen.

GRR! Last week the DS took them to the PX during the 1300 church service. This week it was the same thing - I missed out on a phone call and a milkshake. I'll bring it up to the DS after I've calmed down a bit - one shouldn't have to choose between their religious observance and a privelege.

After the incident, from about 1500 on, pretty much the whole day was free time. Nice. I studied a bit, wrote some, got my laundry put away, organized my personal drawer, and relaxed. Tomorrow, I think we get our class A uniforms. I'm excited about that.
