This morning I went to the Education Center and completed the last part of the in-processing. I also tried to sign in to my highest level unit, but the G-1 was out, so they told me to come back in the afternoon.
In the afternoon I turned in my DITY move transportation voucher and checked in with the G-1 again. Since Fort Hood closes at 3:00 pm on Thursdays, that was about all I was able to do.
(The "early Thursday" thing is by order from the commanding general. Soldiers spend a lot of time away from their families because of deployments, so he has made it an order that we have a day where we specifically spend extra time with them. Pretty cool, huh?)
