This part of Texas

SY surprised me by saying she's relieved by the Texas weather. Compared with Korea, it's much less humid here, and it's a lot greener than had expected.

She apparently had "Big Bend Country" in mind; according to this map, we're in the "Prairies and Lakes" region.

The Bend Lake Outdoor Recreational Area (BLORA) is nearby, and there are free shuttles that take Fort Hood residents there every weekend. Here's a picture I got two weeks ago during an outdoor Sunday service:

Nice scenery, yes, but it's still too hot for me.
