After a month back in Tarin Kowt, there's not a lot of new stuff left to post that's, you know, safe to put on a blog. This just isn't the forum to complain about company or battalion related stuff. (If it were, I'd be quite busy.)
There is, however, Pizza Night. On Fridays, the Australian-run mess hall here serves curly fries and different types of greasy pizza -- three quarters of the foods on the serving line are marked with red tags meaning, "This is bad for you.Don't eat this." It's awesome.
Those things in the back left are called "bush donuts." They're basically fried clumps of dough, and they reminded me of a Hawaiian malasada. Hmm.... malasadas.....
So basically, this past Friday I had fat, fat, fat, sugar, and cauliflower for dinner.
