Australia's version of the Superbowl is the Rugby League State of Origin final. It's called State of Origin because it's a tournament between the all-stars of the seven states and one territory (8 teams - convenient). In the end, though, it always comes down to New South Wales and Queensland -- the locus of rugby fandom in Australia (as opposed to Aussie Rules, which is big in the south and west).
My office fell squarely in the New South Wales camp, though sadly they got "monstered" in the first half and never recovered.
