The wait is over

Back in November 2011, after returning from my deployment to Afghanistan, I started labeling my work-related posts with "The Waiting Place" because I didn't feel like I was really moving anywhere career-wise.

In that time, though, I interviewed for a position as a general's aide (didn't get it) and later got a job as a company executive officer. In one of those "life-lemons-lemonade" moments, the delay in the promotion timeframe allowed me to hold that position for about six months, giving me a lot of insight into company operations.

Now that I've been promoted (I'll pin the new rank on Friday) and I've gotten my CLC3 date, I feel like my time in "The Waiting Place" is over. This is the last post for that label.

From this point, I'll be writing about my transition out of my current company and on to my next duty station in Fort Lee, Virginia.
