These past couple days have been pretty stressful. On Monday I got the offer to go to the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course (CLCCC or CLC3) in September, and I accepted. Now I have to move my family to Fort Lee, Virginia, in three weeks.
The first two steps are to turn in the DA Form 4187 authorization signed by my chain of command and receive my Request For Orders (RFO). Today I turned in my 4187 to the battalion S-1 and my EFMP paperwork to HRC for the RFO.
While I'm working on that process, I also have to 1.) prepare a continuity book for the lieutenant that will take over mid-September (after I'm already gone), 2.) prepare the operations order for the field exercise next month, 3.) ready my household goods for the move, and 4.) arrange food for my pinning ceremony on Friday.
Army life just got a good bit busier.
