Today I got the paperwork for my Personally Procured Move. I requested an advance to help pay for the rental truck, though I'm not sure if it will arrive before we actually leave. It's not so big an issue, but it would be nice to get the money sooner rather than later.
I figured out the formula, though -- it's $0.00056 x pounds hauled x miles traveled. So, if I were to haul 1000 pounds 1000 miles away, I would get $560. Not too shabby.
Since I am going to Fort Lee, Virginia (1385 miles away), I would get about $2330 for my estimated 3000 pounds. If I have more, then I'll get more; according to the formula, I'd get an extra $0.77 for every additional pound I haul.
I wonder if I should get some new furniture before we leave....
