Today we did three things: studied "tactical logistics" in the morning, attended a lecture from a colonel during lunch, and presented the first round of mission command briefs. I also used this time to get my paper reviewed by our class proofreader.
The mission command assignment was this: analyze a commander's performance from one of the battles on the list. Fortunately, the Korean War battle of Jipyeongni (지평리, 砥平里, Chip'yongni) was an option -- I remembered having read about that battle in David Halberstam's The Coldest Winter.
I volunteered to be the first ones to go. I was pretty happy with the way things went, though I admit I was a bit rushed in the second half. Our time limitations were from 9 to 11 minutes; I clocked in at exactly eleven mintues. *Whew!* I checked afterward and saw I got 44/45. Yeah!
I was also happy to see few mistakes on my paper. I'll correct those and turn it in tomorrow. After two weeks, I am *so* glad this is over with.
