CLC3 Day 33: Phase 1 test

We started off the day at 8:00 with the open-book, four-hour, 300 point test.

The test consisted of three sections. The ten multiple choice questions were pretty easy, and the short answer ones required only a paragraph or two. The essay questions were, of course, much more complicated, but I think I did all right.

Without knowing how I actually did, I feel happy with the way I took the test -- I budgeted my time wisely, proofread my writing, and answered as best as I reasonably could. Although my answers probably weren't as succint as they could have been and my handwriting still hasn't improved in the past 25 years, I can't think of anything I could have done better.

I finished with about ten minutes to spare, which I'm satisfied with -- neither too soon nor too rushed that quality suffered. It reminded me of the time hacks I worked under as a Ka Leo editor. So no matter how things go, I can't kick myself for "what I could have done."

And at the very least, my spelling was good.

In the afternoon, we got an OPD from the property book warrant officers. This will prove useful in the future when we get our company commands. With the Army budget tightening, we will have less leeway in our property controls than our predecessors.

I had scheduled a dentist appointment at 4:00, which left me with quite a bit of time to fill, so I got a haircut. All in all, a good day.
