O2O's online PMP course complete

Q: What's the glidepath to get certified as a Project Management Professional through the Onward to Opportunity Program?

A: It goes like this:

First, you do the three day seminar and choose PMP. This unlocks the online training.

Second, you do the online training. I began on February 4th and just finished. Today, I got my training certificate. This online coursework counts as the 35-hour classroom education.

Third, you start taking practice tests. There are two modes: "Study Mode" and "Certification Mode." In both cases, there are 200 questions, no time limit, and the right and wrong answers are explained as you go through the test.

The difference is that in Study Mode you can go forward and back. In Certification Mode, you can only go forward.

The reason why they have a Certification Mode is that O2O wants to make sure you can pass the test before they dish out the $400 exam fee. So to reassure them, you have to show them you're able to pass the full 200 question test with an 80% or higher score three times.

Each time you pass a Certification Mode, you take a screenshot and paste it into the PowerPoint presentation they provide you. Once you send that in, they pay for both the Project Management Institute's $130 membership fee (for one year) and the $400 test fee.

Once you have the fees paid for, you can arrange through a testing center (like Pearson) to take the test on a date and time that works for you.
