Got orders, but...

On Wednesday evening my orders came in. On Thursday I went to the Schofield Barracks Transportation Office to schedule my counseling date, and found out that there was an omission -- the line item that authorized concurrent travel for my family didn't have a billing code. I would have to contact the G1 to have my orders corrected.

Nevertheless, the allowed me to schedule my household goods (HHG) counseling for Friday at 1:45 p.m.

I went home and sent an email to Japan, where (time difference) it was already Friday morning. A few hours later, I tried calling, but still could not reach anyone. Any revision would have to wait until the next work week.

The counseling still went on at the scheduled time, and lasted about 15 minutes. No cars, long-term storage (more on this later), a 9000 pound limit, no hazardous materials, and any "pre-packed" boxes have to stay unsealed.

It's starting to feel real.
