The old visitor's gate

Before 9/11, this used to be the main gate for Clay Kaserne, and visitors could get off at the "Flugplatz Erbenheim" bus stop to come in.
Since then, the visitor's office has been moved farther up the road, and people without a common access card (CAC) now have to walk a half-mile all the way around to reach this same point.

It's just one example of the things we've lost to the fear of terrorism. As the years go by, fewer and fewer people remember life being any different.
