As a result, we filled our day with rock drills and weapons cleaning. Apart from that, I occupied myself with getting settled in and eating.
Our accomodations are much nicer than I was led to expect.
In the old days, people would set up shelters in pairs and sleep on the gravel. Since then, they've set up air-conditioned, enclosed canopies with astroturf-style floors. and provided cots.
I appreciate the additions. I can imagine the Mojave Desert without air-conditioning, and I definitely prefer this.
