Day 54 - Labor Day

No better way to spend a federal holiday than to finish with one less day of Basic Combat Training -- let's get it over with. I woke up at 700 for personal hygiene. There was no CS gas attack (when will it come?), and breakfast was pretty good. Frosted flakes, apple, grits, bacon, eggs, blueberry bagel, milk, OJ, crumb cake (nice and moist, not like yesterday).

For lunch, I had MRE #4 -- cheese and vegetable omelet -- which I didn't bother eating -- and potatoes and bacon, crackers with blackberry jam, brown sugar pop tart, cinnamon scone, and blue drink. In the afternoon we ended up wasting a lot of time because there's a shortage of drill sergeants. That’s nice in a way because it keeps them from messing around with us.

For dinner there was hamburger yakisoba, corn, rice w/gravy, bread, cake, orange, orange drink, and milk. We did 50% security in the evening.
