Moving stuff into storage

In an Army move, there's always the question as to how you get a new place.

1. Get Permissive TDY before you leave, travel at your own expense, and house hunt before the actual move,
2. Blindly arrange for your new place, or
3. Start looking once you arrive and keep your thing in storage until you find something.

That last one is what we decided on. In order to return our truck tomorrow, I unloaded our 4,580 pounds of stuff in the U-Haul into a 10' x 15' storage unit. The good news is that U-Haul offers 30 days of free storage when you rent a truck.

I'm proud to say I managed to do it all be myself over a four hour period without injury. That included the washer, dryer, and over a dozen boxes of books.

Now it's time to find an apartment.
