CLC3 Day 54: 1862 lecture, BCS3

Class this morning started at 8:00 with a lecture from the Transportation Corps historian about the 1862 Peninsular Campaign. We'll be doing a staff ride win the coming week to several Civil War sites. This lasted until lunch at 11:30

At 1:00 we picked up again with a BCS3 class, but I have to confess I didn't pay all that much attention. At the end I realized I really should have, as there's an exercise coming up that will draw on the things we've learned so  far.

This didn't last long -- only till 2:30. At that point we did the promotion ceremony for the last person in our class to make captain. We finished by 3:00.

Given that I found out that I'm the last person in my class to receive my orders, I called my branch manager. He said that there was a problem at first because he hadn't taken SY's EFM status into account, but that it's been worked out. My RFO should be ready in a few days.
