Today was fun, but only because of my now-nihilistic approach to the LEX.
First, there was the supposed need for a water quality test -- despite the fact that all we have is bottled water. Next was the ammunition push that we had to fight off because we're already sitting on top of three basic loads.
Finally, we fixed the problem that led to 70 trucks being deadlined (though all our unit has been doing is sitting around, waiting for H-hour). Apparently there was an Excel drop-down button that we neglected to check on the required form.
But despite all the game peculiarities, we're getting the hang of things. Tomorrow, when the "action" begins and the unit starts using ammunition, maybe I'll get to actually do something worth checking on.
In the meantime, we sent out our first shipment of stuff to Korea today. Since I still don't have notice of command sponsorship yet, we limited ourselves to 600 pounds of unaccompanied baggage. The movers also took my military gear, which had no limits.
In mid-March they'll come again to get two more types of things: first, our long-term storage and second, the rest of our household goods. Assuming we'll have command sponsorship by then, we'll be allowed 7,500 pounds -- more than enough for what we have.
