Chicago Cubs next

The Boston Ted Sox broke their curse this week. Good for them -- they deserve it.

Now it's time for the Cubs to get it together and take it all.

What is this curse thingy? I hear a lot about it, but not the actual curse (for your information purpose, I don’t watch baseball games, but sill crurious!).

The Red Sox haven't won the World Series since 1918. The year after, they traded Babe Ruth (the guys with the most home runs *ever*) to their nemesis, the Yankees.

Since then, it's like Babe Ruth "cursed" the Red Sox to an eternity of coming close, but losing. In 1986 they came close, but in Game 6 on an error by the first baseman (Bill Buckner).

Last year they went to the playoffs but lost to the Yankees again. After losing the first three games to the Yankees in the pennant race, it looked like their hopes would be dashed again, but they managed the biggest come-back in history and then swept the Cardinals. Pretty impressive.

Massachusetts is having a good year overrall. First, the Patriots football team wins the Superbowl, the one of their two senators got the Democratic nomination for president. (Maybe he'll win -- who knows?) Now the Red Sox.
