Surprises

My wife has been surprising me a lot recently.

Yesterday I was explaining the values and names of American coins (penny - 1 cent, nickel - 5 cents, etc.), which surprised me -- she spent six weeks in Los Angeles and yet didn't pick that up.

Today we were watching TV, and she asked me to explain the adjective "piggy." Just as I started out, she said, "Is it like 'voracious?'" I could only reply, "Uh... yeah, exactly...."

So she didn't know piggy, but she knew voracious. How about that.
