A/C installation

In our lease agreement, our landlady agreed to install an A/C unit in the apartment's bedroom. Today we had the air conditioner installed.

In this picture you can see one of the installation workers hanging outside the window, eleven stories above ground. There was a safety harness around him, but still, just watching him work scared me.

There was even a point after this when he needed to check something quick, so he climbed out there with only me and a second guy spotting him with a pair of packing straps.

It gives me a much greater appreciation for what OSHA has done in the U.S.
