Day 8 - Checking out

Yay! At last, we left the hospital today. There was a lot of stuff to take care of before we could walk out the door, though.

First, SY had to get her stitches taken out. Then we had to get SY’s doctor’s signature on P’s English birth certificate, and pay SY’s bill. When we went to pick up P, we learned that we also had to pay his bill (about $100, which is going to come out of his allowance).

We then met our friend, who picked us up in her car and was ready to take us to SY’s parents house. Oh, but wait! We forgot to get the free nursing pillow from the maternity ward! (They’re really encouraging mothers to nurse.)

So I ran back up to the 3rd floor, got the pillow, and came back down. Finally we left thte parking lot. Then we got a call saying that we needed to go back and get SY’s medication.

*sigh*

So while we were planning to leave at noon, we actually left about about 2:30, and with traffic we arrived at 3:15. The first thing when we got home was was take a nap – all together.
